BCAA (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine) are essential amino acids that contain valuable nitrogen necessary for the synthesis of muscle tissue cells. They are multifunctional. When you're in the definition phase, BCAAs help maintain hard-earned muscle mass. When you're bulking, you use BCAAs to "boost" your post-workout shake.
