Pre-workout formulas are patented mixtures of multiple ingredients designed to help us improve endurance, strength, mental focus, or circulation, all in the interest of achieving a better and easier workout. These products are taken immediately before the training session or activity when we need to stimulate ourselves and our bodies because we are too tired, lack motivation, or focus.
Most common components:
● Creatine - for strength, cell hydration
● Beta-alanine - for normalizing pH balance in muscles, nerve conductivity, and endurance
● Arginine - for a better blood "pump" and assistance in body protein anabolism
● Caffeine / guarana - a central nervous system stimulant for increased focus and alertness
● Citrulline malate - a stimulator of maximum energy and rapid recovery
● Taurine - an enhancer of other components, increases muscle contraction (nerve conductivity and nerve impulse transmission), helps supply muscles with glucose
● Vitamins and minerals, amino acids, plant extracts that affect anabolism, stimulate the production of hormones...
Each pre-workout product has a different composition or ratio of similar ingredients, so some may not contain caffeine, while others may not have creatine. It is important to be cautious before consumption if someone is sensitive to any of the listed components in the composition.
