The premium running shoe is intended for neutral runners who seek maximum comfort and cushioning.
The main advantage of Mizuno running shoes is the balance of cushioning, stability, and responsiveness, as well as the smooth transition from toe to heel and vice versa.
The Wave Sky 8 is a top-tier neutral running model with an emphasis on comfort and cushioning. The new upper part of the shoe consists of Smooth Stretch fabric, which is more breathable and comfortable, while also providing better foot stabilization.
The midsole is also completely new, with a new construction of the Mizuno Foam Wave. The new Wave construction consists of a combination of Enerzy and Enerzy NXT materials, offering runners an optimal balance of stability, comfort, cushioning, and responsiveness. The new Sky 8 is even 10% lighter than its predecessor.
The outsole is made of new X10 carbon rubber, which provides excellent grip on various surfaces.
The new Wave Sky 8 is also suitable for heavier runners due to the stability provided by the new foam Wave plate.
The fabric, lining, and insole are made from 90% recycled materials.
Technologies:
- MIZUNO WAVE - A unique technology that combines two essential elements for excellent running shoes – comfort and stability. During running, excessive forces and tension occur throughout the body, so to minimize the risk of injury, it is necessary to ensure the right combination of comfort and stability. The Wave plate provides excellent shock absorption by spreading the impact force over a larger area. The stability of Wave technology is achieved on the outer (lateral) and inner (medial) surfaces of the shoe, which is designed to stabilize the foot. The basic elements of comfort and stability in the Wave plate are designed to be suitable for all types of sports footwear, resulting in the lightest and most advanced shoes with the highest performance.
- Mizuno Enerzy - A new material in the lower part of the midsole, softer, providing more comfort and greater energy returnthan any material so far. This energy return makes running faster.
- SMOOTH STRETCH WOVEN - A new fabric in the upper part of the shoe that is more breathable and offers very soft and comfortable foot grip. The new material stretches laterally and prevents excessive longitudinal stretching, providing additional foot stabilization.
- SMOOTH RIDE - A technology that provides optimal comfort and enjoyment during running. The new midsole developed by Mizuno is based on the latest computer simulations of running. Smooth Ride allows better shock absorption and increases the flexibility of running shoes. The extended Wave plate creates an easier transfer of weight from heel to toe.
- X10 - A special rubber that is 80% more durable than the existing one. It is placed on the part of the sole that wears out the most, effectively protecting the sole and extending the life of the shoe.

DETERMINE THE RIGHT SIZE:

Follow these simple step-by-step instructions to determine the correct size:
- Stand upright on a hard surface, support your heel against the wall, and stick a blank piece of paper on the floor directly under the foot in contact with the wall.
- Have someone mark the longest point of your foot with a pencil on the paper or mark it yourself if needed. Repeat the process with the other foot as sizes may differ between the right and left foot.
- Measure the length of the foot from the heel to the longest toe (known as the length from heel to toe). Use the longest length to determine your size in the table above.
Not sure which size to order?
Use the table above to determine your size. If you are on the border between two sizes, choose a size smaller for a tighter fit or a size larger for a looser fit.
How to measure your feet?
Wear socks that you would wear with your shoes and measure your feet in the afternoon (feet usually swell throughout the day). Distribute weight evenly before measuring your feet.
